This year our AGM came with a twist – we decided to combine it with a first ever Community Health and Wellbeing Awards! Held at the Swan in Tarporley, the event aimed to celebrate local individuals, groups and organisations that are making a positive difference to the health and happiness of the residents of Tarporley and surrounding areas. We’re also delighted to announce our newest patron of the Trust – Chrissy Lees-Jones. She said:
”It’s an absolute honour to become patron of the Trust. The Tarporley War Memorial Hospital Trust has always been there to support residents of Tarporley, and I’m excited to help champion it’s work in the future.”
We’ve teamed up with the Sandstone Ridge Trust and Mark from Gizmo Media, to bring VR headsets to the Poppy Club at Tarporley War Memorial Hospital. Members were able to re-visit Beeston Castle, wander through Delamere Forest and even take a hot air balloon ride across the stunning Cheshire Plains. It’s all about making these places accessible again, sparking memories and creating meaningful conversations.
