Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to process fundraising donations and Gift Aid claims are consent and legitimate interest. We use the information collected from donors to process Gift Aid claims on their behalf to maximise donations for the benefit of the Charity.

We obtain information from people directly.
How long we keep information
For service updates or marketing purposes, we keep personal information for as long as required to keep donors, supporters and interested parties informed of charity news and developments. Where information is no longer required, or if you tell us you no longer wish to receive news from us, we ensure your personal information is disposed of securely.
Personal information will either be disposed of immediately, if it is not linked to a previous fundraising donation or Gift Aid claim, or otherwise kept in accordance with legal requirements and tax and accounting rules.
Where personal information is collected or used to process fundraising donations and Gift Aid claims, we keep the information for as long as it is necessary for that purpose. In accordance with legal requirements and tax and accounting rules, we retain your personal information for 6 years from the end of the financial year during which your last donation was made.
