Earlier this year, we invited grant applications from local organisations who could help us achieve our charitable aims. We were keen to hear from other charities, businesses and community groups whose projects would benefit the health and wellbeing of our community, going above and beyond what the NHS provides.
We are delighted to have awarded over £123k in grant monies and are proud to be helping the following organisations deliver their health and wellbeing initiatives:
- Disability Positive – a social activity group for adults with disabilities
- Eternity Care Services – The Poppy Club (a subsidised day care service for elderly members of our community)
- Changing Lives Together – a buddying and befriending service, reducing loneliness and isolation
- Cardiac Risk in the Young- free heart screening for young people aged 14-35
- OPAL – support for unpaid carers and the person with dementia for whom they care
- Kelsall Wellbeing Hub – art classes for people with dementia with their carers; young people's mental health workshops; and a community mural leading to a sensory garden
- Deaf & Sensory Network – a monthly support group for adults living with tinnitus
- Whitegate Station Community Group – the "SEN Friday" project giving local school children an opportunity to build confidence and develop independent life skills
- End of Life Partnership – courses empowering people to care with confidence and compassion at end of life
- Tarporley Victoria Junior Football Club – providing equipment and coaching courses to support neurodiverse children
