Purple Angel Dementia Charity

We've supported the Purple Angel Dementia Charity through grant funding and continue to collaborate on two initiatives: the Purple Angel Music Project and Dementia-Friendly Tarporley.

Purple Angel Music Project

We partnered with Purple Angel to provide free, bespoke MP3 players to people living with dementia, each loaded with 15 personalised favourite songs. Music can bring real comfort to people living with dementia, as musical memories often stay accessible long after others fade. Free players are available to both individuals and organisations. The Vintage Charity Shop along the Tarporley High Street is also a drop off and collection point for MP3 players.

Dementia-Friendly Tarporley

Purple Angel Dementia Charity and TWMH Trust have worked together to create a dementia-friendly guide for local shops and businesses. Around 85 businesses, through Tarporley Independent Traders, are taking part by adopting dementia-friendly practices, raising awareness, and supporting people living with dementia.
