I have lived a mile from the Hospital for the last 45 years with my wife, Andrea, and we have three married daughters and seven grandchildren. I have been a supporter of the Hospital for many years and stepped down as a trustee in 2018.
I am a Cambridge graduate, former KPMG Partner and Group CEO of The Co-operative Group. I have been High Sheriff of Cheshire and was Chairman of Chester Race Company for eight years. Other past roles include ten years as a member of the Board of The Duchy of Lancaster for Her Majesty, our late Queen. My business activity these days is investing in and helping start-up and early stage companies.
The Hospital has been a shining example of community service looking after the needs of local patients and it is vital that this continues into the future.
