Caroline Stein

After university, I served in the RAF as a Senior Dental Officer for eight years. Since then, I have worked in both NHS and private practices. I am married with two adult children and a black labrador.

For 20 years, I have worked in Tarporley retiring at the end of 2020. Many patients have told me about their family experiences with the hospital and it was clear that the building has a special place in the heart of our community.

Therefore, I was honoured to be asked to become a trustee. I have a wide range of experience in medical-related groups within our community. Besides dentistry, I have three times been elected as a Governor of the Countess of Chester where I sit on various committees and I am Chair of the Organ Donation Committee. I am also Chair of Kelsall PPG and a trustee of their charity, which has funded and will run the Wellbeing hub adjacent to the new medical centre. I also take part in Care community steering groups working closely with other like-minded charities in the rural area.

The above experience I have gained has put me in a strong position as we move to change the model of the TWMH from an inpatient hospital to a hub which will support care at home and in the community, outpatient clinics and other suitable services. Working closely with partners and established service providers.

In my spare time, I love playing tennis, walking, tending my vegetable patch, cooking, and tackling fiendish Sudokus.

I very much look forward to working together with the staff and trustees to ensure that our building thrives and remains central to our community. Helping to support the rural community to live healthier lives.
